SE Day 1 : Opening Service with a Spiritual “Bang!”
“Triumphantly Accomplishing God’s Greater Works in the End-Time”, an encouraging and empowering theme lifted from 2 Corinthians 2:14 is set for the five-day long Singapore locale’s Spiritual Empowerment.
On the 23rd of April, the opening night service held at Wedgemount Building, 7th floor was well attended by church brethren and viewers thru an online streaming. The expectations abound as both audience brethren and online viewers follow a lively start of the SE service. That is, to become recipient of God’s glorious and empowering words of God in the mouth of Nazareth’s very own, Coordinating Pastor Raquel Dela Cruz who served as the speaker of the SE’s Opening Night.
The service kicked off with joyful singing and followed by inspiring video and live testimonies of God’s goodness from the believers. With the theme at hand, Pastor Raquel zealously preached the need for spiritual empowerment for God’s commission to be done triumphantly. The brethren listened eagerly as she explained that such empowerment comes with God-given vision for the Church as a whole and for Singapore church in particular. The humble privilege to share or spread the gospel to all the world requires the power that God initiated through His holy spirit. Acts 1:8 proves that the Holy Spirit given by God to His people is primarily a power to witness that would lead to salvation.
The manifestation of the Holy Spirit among the children of God is shown through the change or transformation (1 Samuel 10:6) which ultimately lead to enable to do the things that can’t be but now can be. For it is not man that gives full confidence on us but it is God who keeps us to accomplish His greater works victoriously.
SE Day 2 : “A Prayer for the Nation”
The ongoing Spiritual Empowerment service for Singapore locale church is indeed real and relevant. It was real as more showers of testimonies unfold on the second day of SE; and it was relevant as the congregation was grouped into several flocks to pray for the nations, and the church and its continuing mission both in local and global.
With prayers, the vision and mission enthrusted to the Church through the sent ones of God is bound to victory. As emphasized by speaker on SE Day 2, Pastor Jeric Dela Cruz, the preaching and our faith are not in vain because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:14, Jesus’ resurrection guaranteed the preaching and faith of the people of God, and it (re)assures the faithful of the promises of God. Pastor Jeric made mention such guarantee was reaffirmed by the Church verse in John 11: 25-26 in which those who believe and die shall live again and those who believe and live shall never die. It is with this greatest promise that the people of God is kept to do God’s works until the end of time.
